GOLDWIN Returns as a Special Sponsor for Ultra-Trail Mt. Fuji and Shizuoka to Yamanashi
GOLDWIN and The North Face will return as special sponsors for the Ultra-Trail Mt. Fuji and Shizuoka to Yamanashi from April 25 to 27.
GOLDWIN Inc. Fuji (UTMF) and Shizuoka to Yamashina (STY). The races will take place from Friday, April 25 to Sunday, April 27, 2014.
UTMF, a 169.0 km race around the perimeter of Mt. Fuji, and Shizuoka To Yamanashi (STY), a 91.5 km race covering half of the perimeter, are the biggest trail-running events in Japan. The events aim to convey the importance of rising to a challenge, as well as the joy of trail running and the beauty of Mt. Fuji, the pride of Japan. Having been a special sponsor in the first and second competitions, GOLDWIN returns again for the third time.
GOLDWIN’s support for the UTMF, which embodies the very principles that the company embraces, reflects the company’s commitment to promoting a healthy and fun-filled lifestyle as expressed by its slogan, “SPORTS FIRST.” GOLDWIN’s employees will return to the event as operation staff and will use this opportunity to put “SPORTS FIRST” into practice.

Compression underwear from C3fit, as well as the UTMF original novelty goods will also be for sale.

1) Course route guide
Guiding runners on mountainous routes
2) Registration and aid stations support:
Registering athletes (checking equipment) at start points for the UTMF (Yakizaki Koen) and the STY (Fujisan Kodomo no Kuni), and providing overall support at finishing points.
Ultra-trail Mt. Fuji
Ultra-trail Mt. Fuji is a 169 km race connecting the hiking trails, local footpaths, and forest roads around the foothills of Mt. Fuji. The race is an unprecedented outdoor event that aims to convey the importance of rising to challenges and the joy of trail running.
