A direct flight from Tokyo to Auckland, New Zealand takes around 11 hours. There is 4 hours time difference during summer, 3 hours during winter. The climate difference between two hemispheres makes us realize the arrival to this country. The climate influences the country’s culture. In New Zealand, we met people who care about their relationship with nature and are willing to face it. They talk about the topic as an obvious way to enrich their lifestyles. This attitude flows in each individual’s life, whether it relates to a cup of coffee, skateboards, ceramics, making products from natural bounty, delicious food and drink, or hotels that are visited by people from all around the world. Of course, they never forget to embrace the joy of experiencing nature to their heart’s content. This is New Zealand, the land where Icebreaker was born, and where merino wool, its raw material, is cultivated. This time, we travel around Auckland, the largest city on North Island, and Queenstown, a nature-rich haven on South Island.
