In recent years, in Himalaya, environmental pollution caused by abounded plastic bottles grows worse. The North Face participates in the project that crafts products from repurposed plastic sourced from the waste streams of Himalaya. In this project, the collected bottles are compressed and shipped to the manufacturing facilities to recycle to polyester fiber. And then, through the blending with cotton, dyeing, and finish processing, the fabric is manufactured into new products. Also, all this process is conducted in India to minimize carbon footprint.
