The Scenery in Toyama

今回の撮影地のひとつ、尖山の登り口まで車で向かった。その道中、車窓から見えた立山連峰の堂々とした姿に目が釘付けになる。富山の街の背景として溶け込む立山連峰、それがこの土地の日常の風景なのだと。車に流れ込んでくる心地良い風を浴びながら、自然と心奪われていた。山だけではなく、富山湾からの海の恵みも魅力的。昼食で訪れた回転寿司「すし玉」。回転寿司とはいえど、その味は格別なもの。夜は、路地裏にひっそりと店を構える「Wine Bar alpes」へ足を運んでみる。重厚感のあるヴィンテージの中で、レコードからはダンスミュージックが流れる。その空間で飲む、店主おすすめのナチュラルワインが身体にじんわりと染み渡る。そして雨晴海岸から見た立山連峰の夕景を思い出し、またこの土地に来るのだろうと思った。

We headed by car to the trailhead to climb Mount Togariyama, one of the locations to be photographed on this trip. Our eyes remained glued to the magnificent sight of the Tateyama mountain range, seen from the car window. The Tateyama mountain range, which blends into the background of the streets in Toyama, is the unchanging scenery of this land. We were naturally enthralled by the sight of it as the comfortable breeze flowed in through the car. Not just the mountains, but the delicacies of Toyama Bay are also sensational. We visited the conveyor belt sushi restaurant “Sushitama” for lunch. Despite the modest setting, the flavor is exceptional. That night, we visited “Wine Bar alpes,” a bar hidden in an alleyway. Within a dignified, vintage atmosphere, dance music played on a record player. We drank natural wine recommended to us by the owner, and let the atmosphere consume us. Remembering the evening scenery of the Tateyama mountain range seen earlier that day from Amaharashi Beach, we decided to return again someday.
