ボード製作からスケート文化のイメージを変えようと挑戦しているGoose Boards。オークランドを拠点とする創業者のライアンとジャレドは、アップサイクルの木材を使用してクルーザーボードを手づくりしている。古い家の木材やおばあちゃんの古い椅子、どんな素材でも美しいスケートボードにつくり変えられ、誰でも楽しめるということを活動を通して示している。

The boys behind Goose Boards are challenging the image of skate culture,starting from the board itself. Auckland-based founders Ryan and Jared craft handmade cruiser boards using up-cycled wood. Showing people that basically anything — a piece of an old house or grandma’s old chair — can become a beautiful skateboard, they are proving that basically anyone can skate too.
